Olive Oil Infusion Update: A Key Ingredient in ForgeClean

Olive Oil Infusion Update: A Key Ingredient in ForgeClean
At Ironhide Equine, we believe in taking our time to do things right. We know that quality takes time, especially when it comes to creating products that truly make a difference in your horse’s care. That’s why we’re excited to share an important update in our production process: our slow-infused extra virgin organic olive oil has now completed its 6-week infusion period and is ready for use in ForgeClean!
Why Olive Oil?
Extra virgin organic olive oil is renowned for its nourishing and soothing properties. Rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and healthy fatty acids, it’s an essential ingredient in many natural skincare formulas. When infused with herbs, it becomes an even more powerful base for supporting the skin’s health. For us, it’s not just about what’s in our products; it’s about what’s not. No synthetic ingredients, no harsh chemicals — just nature’s finest.
Slow Infusion for Maximum Effect
We don’t rush the process. Our extra virgin organic olive oil was carefully infused over 6 weeks, allowing it to soak up the full benefits of the herbs we’ve selected. This slow infusion technique ensures that the oil retains maximum potency, making it the perfect base for our ForgeClean pre-wash bar. By using this method, we ensure that every drop of oil in our products is as effective and beneficial as possible for your horse’s coat.
Testing & Perfecting the Formula
As part of our commitment to quality, we’ve been testing every element of our products to ensure they meet the highest standards. The formula for ForgeClean is nearly perfect, with the correct pH balance to ensure it’s effective and safe for your horse’s skin. We’re just one ingredient away from completing it: sodium lactate. Once added, this will improve the bar’s hardness without affecting the pH, ensuring it delivers the best results.
Rigorous Testing and Reports
We want to ensure that our products are as safe and effective as possible, which is why every product we make will undergo stability testing, toxicology reports, and multiple stability tests to confirm that they can withstand various environmental factors and maintain their effectiveness throughout their shelf life.
Bulk Production and Curing
Since ForgeClean is a cold-process soap, it requires time to cure properly. As a result, we’re going to be bulk-making batches to ensure we can meet the demand while maintaining our commitment to quality. The curing process takes time, but it’s well worth it for the final product that we believe will make a real difference in horse grooming.
What’s Next for ForgeClean?
With the olive oil infusion complete and the formula nearly finalized, we’ll soon begin the production of ForgeClean in larger batches. Once it’s ready, we’ll begin testing with our initial customers, and we’ll be excited to share more updates on the process.
A Product with Purpose
We’re excited to be this much closer to launching ForgeClean and the full Ironhide Equine system. The process may take time, but it’s all part of our mission to deliver products that truly care for horses, both inside and out. Our slow-infused extra virgin organic olive oil, careful testing, and commitment to quality are just a few examples of the care we put into every batch.
Thank you for being part of our journey from the start. This is just the beginning, and we’re excited to keep moving forward together.
